Climate Change Speaker’s Forum

Climate Change Experts coming together for a night of education, empowerment and meaningful discussion on Climate Change.

Speakers include:

Honorable James Shaw, Minister for Climate Change
Dave Cull, president of Local Government NZ and Mayor of Dunedin City
Rod Oram, financial Analyst with special interest in sustainability and climate change
Jeanette Fitzsimons- Ex co leader of the Green Party and environmental activist
Antoine Coffin- Our Maori Representative who sits on the Maori Heritage Council and an experienced treaty negotiator and resource manager.

James has come into government with a strong commitment to climate change in their agreement and a Prime Minister who has declared that climate change was this generations “nuclear free moment”. David Cull leads a city which has been deeply affected by climate change in terms of sea level rise and storm damage, and Jeanette Fitzsimons has a very long history of fighting for the environment, leading the Coal Action Network and has recently launched the Our Climate Declaration.
