The world premiere of the new feature-length documentary from Happen Films. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the film on the big screen, with a Q&A with the directors and local interviewees following the film.

Living the Change explores solutions to the global crises we face today – solutions any one of us can be part of – through the inspiring stories of people pioneering change in their own lives and in their communities in order to live in a sustainable and regenerative way.

Directors Jordan Osmond and Antoinette Wilson have brought together stories from their travels around New Zealand, along with interviews with experts able to explain how we come to be where we are today. From forest-gardens to composting toilets, community supported agriculture to timebanking, Living the Change offers ways we can rethink our approach to how we live. Come and be inspired!

“A sumptuous looking film with a smorgasbord of people who give a damn, and who’re all trying to change the only world we have for the better.”
– Te Radar

“Here are the issues we all need to be talking about, and with local examples of people who are making a difference. We need these solutions now.”
– Malcolm Rands, Co-founder of ecostore and Chair of Fairground Foundation

“The most impactful thing we can do to reduce climate change is to change our consumer choices. In particular, reducing our consumption of meat, but there are also many other things we can do. This beautiful movie illustrates some other ways people choose to reduce their impact, in an attempt to live in harmony with the environment. It starts the conversation about how we live, how it’s impacting on our health and the environment, and alternative ways we could be living to benefit both – we have a lot more choice than we think!”
– Megan May, Little Bird Organics & The Unbakeries
