We’re thrilled to announce a collaboration with @Green_nd_Wild! 🌿 The visionary Bahareh is joining forces with us at Vector Groups Charitable Trust (@Troppo_NZ) to tell the stories of amazing gardens. We’re also excited to feature her in our upcoming edible landscapes magazine! #VectorTrust #GreenandWild #EdibleLandscapes #Gardening #Collaboration #NewZealand
It’s not every day that a passion project so perfectly captures the zeitgeist of a growing movement. But that’s precisely what Bahareh has done with Green & Wild, a deeply personal and visually stunning ode to the vibrant, untamed, and often overlooked green spaces of New Zealand.
The spark for Green & Wild wasn’t just a love for plants; it was a quiet defiance. Living in a small village nestled in the heart of New Zealand, Bahareh noticed a distinct shift. Houses were getting bigger, sections were shrinking, and the precious outdoor spaces that once told a story were being paved over. The connection to nature, once so strong in this green land, was slowly being lost.
But amidst this change, Bahareh found something remarkable: a quiet defiance. People who refused to give up on their patches of paradise. Individuals who have spent years nurturing, shaping, and loving their gardens, creating spaces filled with character and untold stories. Green & Wild was born from the desire to document these remarkable tales and celebrate the people behind them.
“My deepest hope is that these videos serve as a poignant reminder of what we’re losing, and more importantly, what we can still reclaim,” Bahareh shares. Her work is a gentle reminder of what’s possible when we invite nature back into our lives, a call to action to rip up a patch of plastic lawn and reclaim the intoxicating smell of wet earth and the sweet fragrance of lemon blossoms.
Here at Vector Group Charitable Trust, it’s not every day that a passion project catches the attention of someone who shares our vision for a greener, more sustainable world. That’s exactly what happened when Bahareh from Green and Wild visited our urban tropical food forest and nursery in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty.
It’s an incredible honor to announce that we are now collaborating with Green & Wild to bring more of these inspiring stories to life. Bahareh’s visit was more than just a tour; it was a meeting of minds, two kindred spirits passionate about transforming urban landscapes into lush, productive ecosystems. Her work aligns perfectly with our mission, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with her.
As part of this new partnership, we’re thrilled to share that Bahareh will also be a featured highlight in our upcoming edible landscapes magazine. We believe her unique voice and beautiful storytelling are the perfect way to showcase what’s possible when we reconnect with the land.
Green & Wild is more than just a series of garden tours. It’s an invitation to connect with the human stories behind the plants, to appreciate the profound sense of wonder that gardens offer. Bahareh’s work shows us that every green space, no matter how small, has a story to tell—a story of passion, perseverance, and the deep connection between humans and nature.
