Yesterday was an exciting day at Troppo’s Tropical Urban Food Forest! We had the pleasure of hosting Sam from the popular White Strawberries podcast right here in Te Puke. It was a true honor to welcome someone whose passion for permaculture and sustainable living aligns so perfectly with our own mission.
We’ve long been fans of Sam’s approach—she makes gardening and sustainability feel joyful and accessible, a sentiment that echoes through every corner of our food forest. Her podcast explores how to garden with purpose and fun while highlighting the importance of eating a diversity of life-giving foods. This is exactly what we strive for at Troppo’s, where we’re dedicated to creating a thriving, resilient ecosystem.
The highlight of the day was when Sam sat down with our founder, Stephen Fawcett, to record a special podcast episode. We can’t wait to hear her share the story of how Troppo’s was transformed from an ordinary blank urban space into a diverse and vibrant urban food forest. It was an incredible opportunity to discuss the principles of syntropic agroforestry, permaculture, the power of community, and our collective journey toward food resilience and abundance.
We are so excited for the episode to be released and can’t wait for you to hear our story through Sam’s lens. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as the podcast is live!
