Vector Group Charitable Trust is a youth and community trust based in the heart of Te Puke.

We are a magnet for youth, active and creative individuals and people who appreciate building relationship, creative projects, fun events and similar interest groups.

We are edgy, unpretentious and non-institutionalised and we believe that creative development and experiences engage and connect people so that they benefit from social cohesiveness, well-being and personal growth.

Reports to: Chair of the Board

Responsible for: Effective governance of the organisation

Attributes:

  • An interest in creativity and an understanding of how arts, diversity and culture contribute to healthy development and engaging inclusive communities.
  • Relationships and networks in the wider business, specialist, philanthropy and/or art and culture sector
  • Visionary and strategic thinking
  • Governance experience or willing to upskill
  • Understanding or experience of not for profit governance, social enterprise and business acumen
  • Ability to work collaboratively and for the interest of Te Puke Youth and Community members
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi), local government environment and public accountability
  • Effective communication skills and negotiation skills

This is a volunteer position.
