Most parenting tools ask for more than families can give: longer lists, perfect routines, another score to keep. Tiny Steps was built for the opposite.
It is a free companion from Vector Group Charitable Trust for pregnancy, babies, toddlers, and everyday whānau connection. Each day opens with a small, doable idea — something that fits a kitchen floor, a rainy afternoon, or five minutes before kindy. No paywall. No streak guilt. No pressure to “catch up.”
Face-to-face support in a community is precious — and often only available in short windows. Tiny Steps adds calm, free guidance families can open anytime, so connection and play don’t have to wait for the next appointment.
It sits inside our wider Resilience Programme: digital companions that walk alongside community care, not instead of it. Plunket, GPs, libraries, neighbours, and whānau remain the heart of support. Tiny Steps simply offers a gentle next step when you need one.
Tiny Steps was designed and built with Te Puke Digital as part of Vector Group’s digital work in the Bay of Plenty — the same craft that supports our public web presence and other programme tools.
If household pressure is the harder part of the week — rent, bills, work, readiness — our sister companion Home Steps offers the same calm approach for household life.
