A Massive Thank You to Everyone Who Made the Great Te Puke Spring Clean a Huge Success!

Youth and Community11 months ago

What an incredible afternoon! Our Great Te Puke Spring Clean & Pizza Party was a smashing success — cleaning, sharing, learning, and plenty of fun.

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to help tidy our beautiful town. We are sorting and weighing all the waste collected and will share the final results early next week.

An accolade to the epic Te Puke team

A huge shout-out to the whole Te Puke community who showed up. It was inspiring to see everyone — from the youngest scout to the most seasoned volunteer — pitch in with heart and determination. Your collective effort is what makes this town special.

A true community effort

This event would not have been possible without the groups who pitched in. Special thanks to the Te Puke Intermediate Eco Class, Kiwicoast Lions, Janine and her homeschool group, and Te Puke Scouts. Thank you also to Poutiri Wellness Centre, the team from Trevelyan’s Pack and Cool Ltd, and Youth Encounter NZ for their work in Jubilee Park.

We were honoured to host community groups sharing their mahi and inspiration: Space for Nature, Predator Free BOP, Envirohub Bay of Plenty, Western Bay of Plenty District Council, Sea Cleaners, and the Maketu Ongatoro Wetland Society.

Vector Group Charitable Trust captured the day through photography and videography.

A huge thank you

Finally, a huge thank you to Craig & Katherine from Keep Te Puke Beautiful, and their sidekick Kiki the Kiwi! Your passion, energy, and commitment to keeping Te Puke looking amazing are an inspiration.

Let’s keep the momentum going — Keep Te Puke Beautiful is hosting another clean-up tomorrow (Sunday) from 10 a.m. in Jubilee Park. We would love to see you there.
